Thanksgiving is the perfect time for college students to have their much needed rest after having all grand stuffs to work out at school. Most college students opt to spend holidays with their family members, meeting up with long time friends and having some really great food at home. But there are still who can’t go home due to the shorter days of break or others don’t want to.
Whatever the reasons are, spending Thanksgiving at school grounds doesn’t have to be a pity. Check out these 8 great ways to spend Thanksgiving when not home for holidays. Help out yourself to not make your weekend an extraordinary one.
Seize up your sleep. Get a lot or enough sleep since your roommate may be gone for the holiday. Catch up with those sleepless nights and gain some energy.
Just relax. It’s a fact that you have faced a lot of stressful things at school, papers, organizing activities, projects and the like. Take this time to just relax yourself and mind.
Do laundry. If you’re not fine with just sitting and laying down, do some catch up on your laundry. Check out the things you needed to clean up in your dorm room and not to worry about this during the weekdays and you may spend your time with other exciting things during the weekends.
Have a talk to new faces. There are only few people in the campus since it is Thanksgiving break. This is the right time to meet some new people who just passed by the dining hall or even in your residence home.
Finished your homework. Spent the holiday checking any updates on your academic. Do finish your homework, papers or projects. Be more productive and not cramp when break is all done
Book the next holiday. If you did not make it this Thanksgiving, you can always schedule your next vacation days on the next holidays. Book for the next holiday and maybe you can get a ticket on sale.
Do volunteer works. Or do some good deeds by volunteering on Thanksgiving. Be grateful for all the things you have received may it be related to school or to your life. Give some effort back by extending your help to others.
Go out for a day. Watch movie, go shopping, went hiking, visit the museum or anything you have missed doing. Enjoy the break outside the campus and see the things you have not seen for a long time.
