Free. Interactive College Textbooks, how does that sound?
Further to our post yesterday, OpenStax have just announced that not only have they released free iBooks for Physics students, but the books will also be Interactive. The partnership between Expert TA, a provider that provides online tools to help professors provide the most effective teaching and also making learning easier for students.
So now not only will you be able to get your Physics books for free or very cheap, you will now be able to get more from them, with the OpenStax books including provision for customizable homework, pop-up reference materials, a Physics problem library to help you practice what you’ve learnt. The homework function will give students the ability to basically ask questions as they would in class and received extra tuition if they need it.
